Marketing Database Coordinator
Position supports marketing & sales by generating email or direct mail lists, data mining queries and generating customer profile reports. This position requires an understanding of marketing, data attributes, relational databases and campaign management applications such as Unica. Direct Marketing or Social Media experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Utilize campaign management system to run queries and execute list pulls supporting sales & marketing initiatives (customer acquisition, retention, cross-sell initiatives, etc.).
- Manage return mail and identify customer updates in support of data hygiene efforts.
- Translate business requirements into data requirements with a deep understanding of marketing objectives and available data attributes.
- Use business intelligence tools to provide analytic and advisory consulting based on customer insights.
- Collaborate with Marketing Database team to provide high quality reports and analyses that help drive business revenue.
- Assist with data enhancement project: requires high level of attention to details to ensure quality, accuracy, completeness of record profiles and adherence to established standards.
Experience/Skills Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of database and direct marketing experience required, within B-to-B or publishing/circulation preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Access & Excel, knowledge of Cognos or UNICA a plus.
- Experience in List Acquisition/List Rental
- Education or experience in performing data quality assurance and/or data management
- Experience using internet engines & social networking sites
- Ability to understand marketing business plans and objectives to identify and recommend process improvements.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with a strong customer orientation.
- Must have strong attention to detail skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and meet deadlines.
