Head Football Coach - Waconia Public Schools

Waconia Public Schools is seeking candidates for a?Head Football Coach position scheduled to begin August 2013. The successful candidate will possess football knowledge and experience, have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a recognition, interest, and respect for the needs of students.?Coaching experience and certification is required. A Coaching license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education is preferred. Compensation will be in accordance with the School District's extracurricular salary schedule.

Under the direction of the Activities Director, the Head Football Coach will develop a comprehensive football program that includes the following:

• Parental Organization/Organization of Parent Pre-Season Meeting;

• Working with Youth Organizations;

• Equipment/Uniforms;

• Budget;

• Transportation;

• Fundraising;

• Post-Season Banquet;

• Daily practice schedule;

• Monitor student-athletes' academic progress;

• Public Relations;

• Staffing of lower level and assistant coaches;

• Attendance at Conference and Section Coaches' Meetings; and

• Preparation and promotion of student-athletes for post high school experience.

Waconia Public Schools is a growing district located approximately 25 miles west of Minneapolis. The district serves more than 3,600 students from the communities of Waconia, New Germany and Saint Bonifacius. District facilities include an educational services center, two elementary schools (K-4), one middle school (5-8) and one senior high school (9-12). The district has approximately 500 employees, of which more than 245 are teaching faculty.
